FRANK B. WILLIAMS LOUISIANA TRAPSHOOTING HALL OF FAME 1999 INDUCTEE The Louisiana Trapshooting Association Hall of Fame committee gratefully acknowledges the South Louisiana Gun Club for providing the following biographical information on 1999 Hall of Fame inductee, Frank B. Williams: Frank has been shooting trap since 1949, with the inception of the South Louisiana Gun Club which began its career in the fall of 1948. During Frank’s career of trapshooting, he has won the State Singles Championship three times, the State Handicap Championship twice and the State Doubles Championship once. In 1970, he tied for the Clay Target Championship of America at the Grand American with 200x200 and also made the All-American Trap Team. Frank’s participation in the sport has not been limited to shooting. He was President of the South Louisiana Gun Club for six years and Secretary for nine years. He served on the Board of Directors of the South Louisiana Gun Club for twenty-two years. He also served as the Louisiana ATA delegate and worked with the Central Handicap Committee at the Grand American for three years.
