Eaton Brown was born in New Orleans, La., on July 16, 1940.  She was a member of the class of 1962 at Newcomb College.  She started her young life residing on various Army Bases from 1940-45, moved to Abbeville, La., where she lived until 1958, then to New Orleans until 1960, on to Alameda, Ca. for a year and then to New Iberia, La., in 1961, where she remains today.  She is a wife and a mother of 5.  Her hobbies include fishing, hunting, and trapshooting.

 Eaton started trapshooting in 1990.  As of the end of the 2010 trap year, she had accumulated 51,600 registered singles birds, 39,700 handicap, and 25,550 doubles, for a total of 116,850 lifetime targets.  She has accumulated a lifetime HOA of 83.91%.

Eaton has acquired 29 La. State Shoot trophies, including 8 Women’s singles Champ, 9 Women’s Handicap Champ, and 4 Women’s Doubles Champ.  In addition, she has won 41 Women’s Champ trophies in Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Texas, and has also attended state shoots in Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.  She took the Singles Class D R/U at the 1998 Midwestern Grand, took Doubles Class D in 2004, won the Women’s Handicap in a shootoff in 1998 at the Southwestern Zone, and won the Doubles Class D 3rd position, in a shootoff at the Grand American in 2006.  She has attended the Grand American 12 times and has been a Champion-of-Champions shooter 9 times.

 Eaton has been an active supporter of the sport.  She served as LTA Director from 1995-2000, worked the Walmart trapshoot fundraiser in Linn Creek, Mo in 1999, worked the International Hunter Education Assoc. fundraiser at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio, Tx., and helped to plan and build a new trap field at the Hub City Rifle & Pistol Club in Arnaudville, La.
